At this year's VMware vForum 2019 held in Zagreb on October 1, Altus IT shared with conference participants their migration experiences from the Opennebula KVM environment to VMware SDDC, a project carried out by Altus VMware development team, which is one of the largest VMware implementations in Croatia.
With collocation as the traditional backbone of Altus' business, addressing the customer needs in 2012 the offering has expanded to include cloud services, especially due to business diversification decisions. Initially the focus was exclusively on open source technologies, and from 2014 it expanded to VMware, for which a special team of experts was formed in 2018.
In his presentation, Goran Đoreski, Altus IT CEO, focused primarily on business considerations and the steps taken in the migration process towards the VMware environment, sharing with the audience the challenges and results achieved, as well as plans for the future.
VMware vForum this year focused on digital business models and support in the digital transformation process, gathering over 300 participants in Zagreb.
