The data centre's power supply is directly connected to the city's 10 kV power grid. To ensure redundancy A+B, a configuration of two groups of UPS systems was established. UPS groups are powered by mutually redundant substations, which reduces the risk of simultaneous power loss of both redundant branches.
The substations’ ring is powered by two mainline power lines. In the event of a loss of both energy branches, the system is supplied from the batteries of the UPS system. Although the batteries are intended to support system operation for up to 30 minutes, switching on the aggregates will be done within 10 seconds. Aggregates are in the redundancy of the N+1 level, they contain enough fuel for 24 hours of work, and can be refuelled while work is in progress. In low temperatures the generators are heated, and are tested throughout the year regularly, according to the prescribed procedure.
